F.A.Q : DAEIDA TRIVIA
Q: Who or what is “Daeida?”
A: Daeida Wilcox Beveridge (1861-1914) is whom our magazine is named for. In short, she is the woman who coined the name
“Hollywood.”
Q: How do you pronounce Daeida?
A: We’ve heard it said a few interesting ways including “day-DAH” and “day-EE-dah.” The old-timers have us convinced however that
her name is pronounced “die – YEE – dah,” so that’s how we say it.
Q: Who was your first cover girl?
A: Sophie B. Hawkins (2007)
Q: Who is your eldest cover girl?
A: Phyllis Diller in 2009 (92 years young at the time).
Q: Who is your youngest cover girl?
A: Sophie B. Hawkins (39 years old at the time).
Q: Who was your first male cover?
A: Tab Hunter (2008)
Q: May I submit a celebrity for consideration of a Daeida feature?
A: Publicists and mangers representing celebrity clients: Yes.
Writers and photographers looking to contact a celebrity on behalf of Daeida : No. Please do not make contact on behalf of Daeida
Magazine. We do not encourage nor accept these proposals.
Q: Do you accept unsolicited materials?
A: No. We do not seek photo or literary contributors for this publication.
Q: Where can I get a copy of Daeida Magazine if it’s not on my local news stand?
A: You may order it by mail with money order or by phone with credit card or over the Internet with PayPal.
